373 new COVID-19 cases confirmed, three dead

Kenya has recorded 373 more COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of cases in Kenya to 33,389.

Dr Rashid Aman, the Health CAS on Thursday during his brief at Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) announced that 4,663 samples were tested in the same period of time bringing the total samples tested so far to 438,193.

Of the 373 cases tested, 273 are male and 100 are female while the youngest case is 1-year-old and the oldest is aged 80 years old.

In the same vein, the CAS announced that 72 more patients made full recovery bringing the cumulative recoveries to 19,360.

Half of the new recoveries in the last 24 hours are home-based while the other half were from various hospitals across the country.

Sadly, three patients succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of fatalities to 567.
