57 COVID-19 patients discharged as four succumb to virus

There are now 3, 457 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country after 152 people tested positive on Saturday.

Dr Rashid Aman, the Health Chief Administrative Secretary on Saturday said that they tested a total of 3, 503 samples in the last 24 hours. A total of 112, 171 samples have been tested to date.

116 of the new cases are male while 36 are female. A two-year-old is the youngest and the oldest is 65 years old.

Naiorbi had the highest numbe of cases with 70 followed by Mombasa with 41 cases.

Busia, due to transit drivers at the border had 16 cases, Kiambu 9, Kajiadi 4, Machakos 3 and Migori 3. Kisumu had 2 cases while Taita Taveta, Narok, Nakuru and Uasin Gishu had one case each.

Sadly, four more people succumbed to the virus rising the death toll to 100.

However, 57 people were discharged on Saturday raising the total number of discharged patients to 1,221.
