Tanzanian Bongo star, Ali Kiba exchanged marriage vows with his Kenyan fiancee Amina Khalef on Thursday in Mombasa.
The exclusive nikaa ceremony went down at the Masjid Ummu-Kulthum mosque in Kizingo in the morning. Only close family members to the two and friends were allowed to the ceremony.
Among the dignitaries who attended Kiba’s marriage ceremony were Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his brother Abubakar Joho (Abu).
“Ali Kiba’s side of the family, including his mother, sister Zabibu and brother Abdu, were flown into the country days before the wedding. They are the only confirmed family on the list. Not many people are invited, especially not his baby mamas. Also, 10 musicians are on the guest list. It will be star-studded,” a source had earlier told a local daily.
An exclusive guest list was being hosted by Abu in his Kizingo home. The Joho’s are close family friends with Khalef’s mother.
“Getting into this venue will only be possible with an invite. The who is who will be in attendance for the lunch.”
Governor Joho later in the evening held a reception for the couple at his posh Vipingo Ridge home in Mombasa.
This is the much coveted event that will crown the ceremony before Kiba flies to Dar es Salaam where he will have another traditional wedding held.
The couple will later fly out to Italy for their honeymoon.
