Meet blind lawyer who rides motorcycles, drives and bakes with ease

When Julius Mbura was ten years old, he lost his sight. Maculopathy Rentisis Pigemntosa cost him his sight.

Today, Mbura is the epitome of determination and the power of the mind. He is a lawyer by profession and a motor reviewer at it. Just by touching a vehicle, he tells its make. He is never wrong.

With no vision, Mbura is a great bike rider, skills that have been captured on tape.

Mbura helps other visually impaired people in his capacity as a lawyer He works with an organization known as Enable.

In a past interview in the Unscripted Show brought by Grace Msalame on NTV, Mbura spoke of his love for the motor which began at six years of age. This was before he got blind.

From his passion, he learnt about different types of vehicles and motorbikes.

“My passion for cars goes way back when I was just six years old,” he recalled.

When the engine roars to life, the young lawyer quickly tells its make and other specifics.

Just like the rides motorcycles, he knows his way behind the steering him and is never in fear.

Mbura does most things himself while in the house including baking and cooking.

All through his blindness journey, he has had to gain self-confidence in what he does and accepting his status.

However, he never lets it define who he is or what he is capable of doing.

“I try to demystify the misconceptions about persons with disabilities. When people approach anybody with a disability they should not sympathize with us instead focus on what we have overcome.”

“I see life through a different lens, something totally different from what people perceive is sight-I use my vision,” stated Julius.
