Retracing Caroline Kangogo’s last moments before her death at her parents’ bathroom

Fugitive killer cop Caroline Kangogo is dead.

She shot herself in the head at her parent’s house Keiyo, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

While confirming her death, Rift Valley regional commander George Natembeya said she did not get into the main house.

She went into one of the bathrooms outside the main house, where she ended her life.

Caroline is reported to have arrived at home at 5 am and had not informed her parents.

However, a matatu driver in Iten says she interacted with the dead cop wanted for the murder of police constable John Ongweno and civilian Peter Ndwiga.

The driver says Kangogo approached his vehicle on Thursday and searched it from back to front.

She did not say a word to him and did not show her face either. She kept it covered all through with a face mask and a scarf.

She then left and boarded another vehicle. He alerted his colleagues at the stage, but they did not believe him.

He called a police officer based in the area, but he was in Nairobi at the time.

It is not yet clear if she had communicated with her parents prior.

Natembeya says her parents were not expecting her.

Caroline has left behind two children aged 11 and 8 years. She had separated from her husband, a senior cop based at the Kenya Maritime Authority.
