There were 413 more COVID-19 cases recorded in the country within the last 24 hours bringing the tally to 77,785.
A total of 3,489 samples were tested over the period bringing the total number of samples tested so far to 843,103.
Of the positive cases, 399 were Kenyans and 14 were foreigners. In terms of gender, 254 were male and 159 were female, while the youngest case was a five-year-old child and the oldest was aged 99 years.
Another 396 patients were discharged after recovering from the disease bringing the total recoveries to 51,326.
Out of the new recoveries, 326 were from home-based care programme, and 70 from various hospitals around the country.
Sadly, 12 patients succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of deaths to 1,392.
Hitherto, there are 1,182 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 7,142 are on home-based isolation and care.
Fifty-two patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU), 32 of whom are on ventilatory support, and 16 on supplementary oxygen out of whom 74 are in general wards and 12 are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
In Monday’s cases Nairobi led with 229 cases, Mombasa 46, Kiambu 22, Busia 18, Uasin Gishu 15, Kajiado 12, Machakos 12, Murang’a 9, Meru 9, Kisii 9, Kilifi 6, Nyeri 4, Kirinyaga 4, Embu 3, Kisumu 3, Laikipia 3, Kericho 2, Marsabit 2.
Homa Bay, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nakuru, Kakamega, and Kitui all recorded one case each.
