There were 302 new COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday from a sample size of 3,038.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 83,618.
In a statement to newsrooms signed by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, out of the new cases, 286 were Kenyans and 16 were foreigners.
Of these, 91 were male and 111 were female, while the youngest case was one year old and the oldest was 83 years old.
Another 369 patients recovered from the disease, 287 from the home-based care program, and 82 from hospitals around the country bringing the total number of recoveries to 55,344.
Regrettably, 17 patients succumbed to the disease bringing the COVID-19 death toll to 1,469.
The statement added that there are 1,282 patients admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 8,405 are on home-based isolation and care.
72 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 47 of whom are on ventilatory support, and 23 on supplemental oxygen.
Another 92 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen, out of whom 72 are in the general wards 20 are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
