195 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

Kenya on Monday recorded 195 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total cases in the country to 45,075.

In a statement by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, 1,852 samples were tested in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of samples tested so far to 623,828.

From the cases, 176 were Kenyans and 19 were foreigners while 137 were male and 58 were female.

The youngest was a five-month-old infant while the oldest was 75 years. 

Another 227 patients were discharged with 146 from home-based care program and 81 from hospitals around the country, bringing the total number of recoveries to 32,084.

Sadly seven more deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours bringing the total to 839.
