A probe into what led to the death of a Kenyan man aboard a flight from Doha, Qatar to Nairobi on Thursday has started.
The deceased, Samuel Gachohi, 37, according to Kenya Airports Police Unit Commander Titus Karuri may have died of a heart attack.
“The passenger was travelling to Nairobi from Doha on a Qatar Airways flight when he fell short of breath, started gasping for air and died.”
“We are still investigating the matter but the family has been notified,” he told the Star adding that the deceased’s body was taken to City Mortuary.
Police at JKIA interrogated passengers who sat beside the deceased before being allowed to leave.
Father to the deceased was asked to collect his son’s luggage as investigations continue.
