Horror gripped residents of Saa Mbaya in Kahawa West after a woman stabbed a man multiple times and went on to lick his blood in public.
According to witness statements to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) which is handling the murder case, Margaret Wambui Wangari stabbed three men who were fighting for her.
She started with the deceased who she stabbed multiple times with the last stab going to his ear.
“Margaret Wambui Wangari, reported to have stabbed a man to death following a tussle among four is in custody pending arraignment for murder,” a statement from the DCI said.
“Detectives who attended the scene learnt that three men had engaged each other in fisticuffs over the suspect, before she drew a sharp object, driving it deep into the ear of one.”
Irate residents and other onlookers nearly lynched her but police who were nearby saved her life.
“Startled onlookers who had witnessed a squabble burst into a major clash restrained the violent female suspect, who is said to have started sucking blood that oozed from one of the men,” DCI added.
The two other men are in the ICU at Kenyatta University Referral Hospital (KUTRH) fighting for their lives.
They sustained deep cuts on the forehead and other body parts.
Detectives from Kasarani Police Station are handling the case.
Following the reports, it is not clear if the suspect is of sound mind. It also remains unclear what led her to attack the three men who are rumoured to have had an affair with her.
