After Muthama quit Machakos senatorial race, Jubilee hands his estranged first wife ticket to vie

Jubilee Party has issued a nomination certificate to Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama’s estranged first wife, Agnes Kavidu.

She will vie for the county’s women representative position.

Speaking to the press on Monday at Lysack Hotel shortly after receiving the certificate, she hailed praises at Jubilee saying it is supporting the women leadership agenda.

“I thank the Jubilee Party for supporting women. I promise to deliver in Jesus’s name,” she said as quoted by Daily Nation.

Her entry into politics is timely. Just last week, her divorced husband, Muthama, quit Machakos Senatorial race citing he cannot work with incumbent Alfred Mutua or Wiper Party nominee Wavinya Ndeti.

He said he will campaign for Raila Odinga and will not campaign for Wiper as would be expected, in Machakos.

Kavindu became an internet sensation in 2014 after she went to court seeking an order to bar Muthama from evicting her from their house in Mua.

She claimed that Muthama had disconnected her water forcing her to use swimming pool water for washing and bathing.

She also accused Muthama of ordering bees to be kept in her house so that she could leave.
