Bahati MP wrestles rival at radio station after disagreeing in opinion

As campaigns enter home stretch, true characters of politicians have been revealed.

But for one Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, he has found himself at odds not only with his constituents but also with Kenyans.

This is after he allegedly attacked and injured a fellow aspirant during a radio interview on Sunday night.

According to the Star, the MP showed up for an interview with a Nakuru-based vernacular radio station together with a rival aspirant vying on an independent candidate.

John Mbugua alias ‘honest’ was attacked by Ngunjiri after disagreeing on a certain point.

“I was on a local radio show in Nakuru on Sunday night when my opponent, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri came and attacked me in the station,” narrated Mbugua while seeking for treatment at Nakuru Level Five Hospital.

Mbugua said a difference in opinion sparked the chaos at the studio.

“Ngunjiri resorted the violence and unfortunately turned the radio studio to battleground. I was wrestled to the ground …”

Ngunjiri could not be reached for comment on the matter.

The MP was among the famous Pangani Six who were put in cells for alleged hate speech.
