Police on Thursday held a British Citizen at the Moi International Airport in Mombasa for being in possession of 42 rounds of ammunition.
The woman of Somali origin, Surone Abdiwahid Faiza was stopped at the screening point at 4:10 am.
Faiza, 27, had two magazines one containing 10 bullets of 9mm caliber and the other had 32 bullets of the same caliber commonly used in pistols.
According to Nairobi News, she was boarding a flight to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
From here, she was to board a flight to London.
Police are yet to release more details regarding the incident and the whereabouts of the suspect since her arrest in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
