#Canada7s: Glory as Kenya Rugby 7s qualifies for finals after beating USA in semi-final’s last seconds

Kenya Rugby sevens team on Sunday came from behind to beat the USA in Vancouver 7s in Canada.

In the early first half of the match, USA was leading 7-0 before extending the lead to 14-0. The Kenyan Shujaa boys then came from far behind just before halftime to finish the first half right behind USA at Kenya 12-14 USA.

The second half saw USA feeling the heat and narrowly extending the lead to Kenya 12- 19 USA. Less than three minutes into the second half, Shujaa boys revved up to equalize Kenya 19-19 USA.

The match was about to go to an extra time when Shujaa Collins Injera brought home one of the most sensational tries ever witnessed in Kenya 7s, extending the lead to Kenya 24-19 USA just two seconds to the end of the match.

Kenya won 24-19 against the USA, proceeding to Canada 7s cup finals.

The finals between Kenya and Fiji will be played tonight March.11.2018 at 9:19 PM Sunday, Eastern Time (ET). (4:19 am in Kenya)

Tonight’s finals will be between two exceptional teams. In Canada 7s, Fiji beat Argentina that beat Kenya in Las Vegas last week. The Kenyan Shujaa boys, however, beat England 12-0 and USA 24-19 to get to the finals.
