Peter Waweru, a businessman now living with Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru says he is happy with the legislator as his wife.
Waweru while addressing reports that he, together with Waruguru tried to evict his first wife Zippy Njoki from their matrimonial home in Bamburi said this is political machination.
He said that a key female politician from Mt Kenya region who he turned down advances from was behind this.
“My wife’s foes are behind the false social media allegations. Some female politician from Mt Kenya region who tried to make advances at me is the one who began spreading the malicious allegations to taint our names,” Waweru said in a statement to a local media house.
He added that trouble began when he turned doe the female MPs advances and now used Zippy to settle scores.
Waweru also said that he is in the process of divorcing Zippy after 10 years.
“I have, however, initiated a divorce suit to end our union officially,” he said adding that he will take care of his three children.
He asked people to respect his marriage to Waruguru.
“I am currently married to Cate Waruguru, and we live together as a happy couple. I want people to respect our marriage. Let them know she’s my lovely married wife.”
