LOWELL, MA – Lowell Community Health Center (Lowell CHC) will host an African Community Celebration from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 20th on the 6th floor of its 161 Jackson Street building.
The event will celebrate the people and home countries of Lowell’s vibrant African community while raising funds for the Health Center’s WrapAround Fund, which pays for services that are not covered by health insurance, such as medical interpretation, linking patients to health insurance, free teen programs, and community education and outreach.
The evening, modeled after the Kenyan Harambee, which literally means “All Pull Together,” will feature music, delicious food, and raffles. Tickets to the event are $35 in advance and $50 after September 12th.
