Alliance for Real Change Presidential candidate Abduba Dida has denied reports that he is dropping his bid to back Raila Odinga in repeat polls.

He says he was misquoted and he never said such.

“I’m not even aware where I said these words. I’m still in shock a lot of people, my friends from Europe, Russian and all over the world have been calling me and currently I am overwhelmed by the number of calls I have to answer,” said Dida as cited by the Star.

He said the false report has caused panic among his supporters and threatened to take legal action against media outlets that have published the news.

Dida was among seven other Presidential candidates in the bungled August 9 polls.

He conceded defeat a while before IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati announced President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner.
