The family of once-popular city deejay Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve has dismissed rumours that he is dead.
His father John Orinda said that his son is recuperating well at home and has made tremendous improvement.
DJ Evolve now lives with his brother.
“He is doing fine. The device that was put on his throat is still there, he is not talking clearly yet. I have been called by another journalist asking about the same. Whoever is spreading that information is not a good person,” he told Mpasho.
He castigated those spreading falsehoods of his son’s death saying that they are driven by ill motives.
“A person who can proclaim death on someone who is alive? What kind of a person is that? It is not good at all. I have called my son, who stays with him, and he is doing fine,” he stated.
Early Tuesday, there were reports of his death.
DJ Evolve was shot at B-Club in Kilimani by Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino.
The bullet went through his neck and was quickly rushed to Nairobi Hospital. He stayed here for weeks and was discharged to get treatment at home.
He cannot move or speak clearly but is hopeful he will one day.
