Esther Passaris has won ODM primaries to clinch a ticket to contest for Nairobi County Women representative seat.

Passaris got 60, 154 votes in the recently concluded party nominations. She will battle it out on August 8 against Jubilee’s and incumbent Women rep Rachael Shebesh.

Addressing the press shortly after the results were announced, she thanked her supporters for having trust in her.

She expressed optimism in beating Shebesh saying that she has been in public service long enough and not as a politician which shows that she has what it takes to fill in the women rep seat.

She also said that she will advance NASA’s agenda in the city and beyond.

Also on Nairobi ODM Nominations, Chairman Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU) Babu Owino clinched the ticket to vie for Embakasi East.

He managed 6000 votes which he was not happy about. He said his competitor deserved just 392 votes but got 1000 due to stealing.

“My votes are 6000, my closest opponent garnered 1000  votes but I am disappointed because some of my votes were stolen. Those opponents rigged a lot. The opponent with 1000 votes should have gotten only 392 only. We have more spoilt votes. I really regret.”
