Former TNA Secretary-General Onyango Oloo has been elected Kisumu County Assembly Speaker.
Oloo garnered 32 votes out the total 48 votes cast, emerging the winner.
The race had attracted five other candidates among them Kenneth Amondi who got 11 votes while immediate former Speaker Anne Adul got 5 vote.
In his acceptance speech, Oloo pledged to drive devolution agenda of Kisumu County forward.
Oloo fell out with Jubilee and moved on to ODM where he tried to battle it out for Kisumu Central MP but lost in the primaries.
Since then, much has not been heard of him until he expressed his bid for Kisumu County Assembly Speaker.
He will be steering Prof Peter Anyang Nyong’o’s government for the next five years.
