Four foreigners test positive for coronavirus as cases rise to 36,301

A total of 92 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours raising the country’s tally to 36,301.

The government tested 2,985 samples, Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi stated on Wednesday at Afya House.

Out of the 92 new cases, four were foreigners the youngest being two years old and the oldest being 75 years old.

There were 64 males and 28 females who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Gladly, 165 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 23,364.

Sadly, three more patients succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 637.

In terms of distribution, Nairobi had the highest cases with 25 followed by Mombasa with 20 cases.
