Fuel train derails in Changamwe, plunges into the Indian Ocean

The train that derailed off its tracks at Changamwe before plunging into the Indian Ocean []

A train ferrying fuel derailed off its track in Changamwe, Mombasa on Saturday night and plunged into the Indian Ocean.

Police reports indicate there were no casualties during the accident. Oil was, however, spilled into the Indian Ocean.

The accident occurred at 11:30 pm. It led to the closure of Mombasa-Changamwe road while the SGR has also been affected.

Others who have been affected include those from Mombasa airport.
