A young woman claiming to be President Uhuru’s daughter was arrested and locked up at the Kilimani Police Station on Friday.

The young woman, dressed in pink tights, a black tutu skirt, pink vest, a black top, ankle boots, headgear and dark shades identified as Tamara Risheel was the subject of debate for the better part of Friday afternoon.

She summed up courage and carried a banner at the busy Yaya Centre in Nairobi clearing stating she is Uhuru’s “daughter” and that she loves him so much.

“Meet Tamara Risheel Unknown President Uhuru Kenyatta’s daughter. My high dream is to meet my daddy in person for the first time. I love my daddy,” read the inscriptions in the banner.

As soon as her photo was shared online, there was a lot of backlash from Kenyans through hashtag #ifikieuhuru.

Most Kenyans found her action distasteful.

“This is really distasteful. Looking for daddy in such a way? Bad move,” said Wairimu T.

Njeri Simon called out the young woman saying she should have done something better with her time and dress better.

“Tamara, someone should have told you to do something better with this time you’re wasting and perhaps, take more time in dressing decently. You’ve let many youths down,” he said.

A police car from Kilimani Police Station swiftly arrived at the scene and the young woman was whisked away.

It is reported that she was booked at the Kilimani Police Station.
