There was drama on Monday morning following a viral clip showing what appears to be the dramatic arrest of gospel musician Ringtone Apoko.

In the viral video doing rounds online, a subdued Ringtone sitting on the ground, handcuffed without shoes is seen frantically trying to resist arrest.

However, he is overpowered by police officers, one of whom is in a blue police uniform whole two others are in civilian.

He is bundled into the boot of a black station wagon vehicle, a Subaru-like popular with DCI detectives.

Ringtone is facing sexual assault claims from socialite Bridget Achieng.

A week ago, Achieng claimed that Ringtone forced himself on her sometime back when she sought his help in recording music.

Achieng said that she was a friend to Ringtone before then and when he asked her to go to his house where his studios are situated, she did not worry much because she trusted the ‘Talanta’ hitmaker.

She revealed this online when news of 20-year-old Eunice Wangari who was allegedly assaulted by her Facebook boyfriend hit the airwaves.

”I travel around the world and I don’t see other countries justifying rape the way our men go out there and they start justifying rape. It’s not funny… Right now someone’s daughter is lying critically ill in the hospital but men are going live to spit nonesense… I’m coming in as somebody who has been in same situation in my life.

“I went out to meet this man Ringtone. And I put my life in Ringtone’s arm, thinking this man is going to help in my career as a musician and as a choir girl. He told me, come to my house. And this man took advantage of me. I’ve never talked about it,” she narrated.

Ringtone in a rejoinder hit back at the socialite claiming that she was only out to ruin his reputation.

The singer vehemently rebuked Achieng and her battalion for trying to sabotage his career as a gospel artiste with claims of rape.

Police are yet to issue a statement on the arrest of the singer.
