The late Peter Ndwiga who was murdered on Monday by Corporal Caroline Kangogo had two wives.

Ndwiga worked as a security expert. His two wives – Margaret Wambui and Purity Wanderi – emerged after reports of his death on Monday.

His second wife Margaret praised him as a good husband saying that he always slept home.

She said the deceased loved his two children and found time to spend with them. There is no single day he slept out, she said.

However, Wambui was still bitter about her husband going for a second wife. She opined that Ndwiga forgot about her when he became successful.

He decided to get a second wife against her wish.

Ndwiga according to preliminary investigations had spent time with Caroline on Monday after she fled Nakuru.

It is believed Ndwiga helped her flee after murdering Police Constable John Ongweno in Nakuru.

They met at Dedamax Hotel in Juja where Caroline booked a room and paid for it. They were holed up together in the room until midnight when Caroline emerged and left.

At the time, Ndiwga’s Toyota Probox had been towed to Juja Police Station for obstruction.

It is only after his wife went to file a report of a missing person that it was discovered he had been in the room.

He was found dead with a gunshot through his right side of the head.

Caroline murdered Ongweno in a similar style before fleeing.

Ndwiga’s family says they have never heard of Caroline there before until his demise.

“Msichana anaitwa Caro sijawahi muona na sijamskia (I have never met nor heard of Caroline),” his father Ale Njiru said.
