Citizen TV journalist Stephen Letoo has spoken of his scary journey after testing positive for coronavirus.

Letoo, a political reporter for the Royal Media-owned station in an interview with the Star said that he is doing well.

He said that he has no recollection of where he could have contracted the virus adding that he never had any signs.

However, he decided to take a test at the Nairobi Hospital which turned out positive.

“I didn’t have any signs and even now I don’t have any signs,” he said.

Letoo said that he has no recollection of anywhere he could have contracted the virus.

For him though, he noted, nothing has changed including his appetite.

“I am fine and have my appetite as before. You might even think I am pretending.”

His recovery, he opined, has been the hardest part since he is confined in an isolation room as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.

He urged Kenyans to protect themselves saying the virus is everywhere.

“I want to ask Kenyans to be more careful. It is sad when you cannot trace where you got the disease from,” he cautioned.

He is the third media personality to test positive for coronavirus in a fortnight.

A staff from KBC and another from Mediamax have also tested positive.

Three weeks ago, Chinese-owned GCGTN Africa with its headquarters in Nairobi had to temporarily shut down its operations after six people from the broadcasting division tested positive.
