I’ll deliver NASA 1.5 million votes in August 8 polls, says former Jubilee member Isaac Ruto

New entrant to the NASA coalition Isaac Ruto- Party boss Chama Cha Mashinani, has pledged to add 1.5 million votes to the NASA vote basket.

Ruto, also Bomet County Governor said that he has all it takes to convince the people of South and Rift Valley regions all the way to Narok to vote for NASA government on August 8.

On Wednesday when he appeared for Citizen TV’s JKL show, he said he will give NASA, “about a million and a half votes.”

According to the governor, Jubilee is scared because they are aware he will deliver the more than one mullion votes to NASA from what has been perceived as a Jubilee stronghold.

“You are scared. South Rift and Rift Valley have million-and-a-half votes. Start from the Pokot all the way to Narok and Transmara,” said Ruto.

He is the fifth principal in the opposition outfit. He will be accorded equal rights like other NASA affiliates.

His entry to NASA has re-arranged the political landscape of the vote-rich Jubilee region.

The Bomet governor said his entry to NASA was not because he wanted a senior position in the coalition. He said he joined NASA to help in restructuring governance in the country.

“What I want from them is good governance, I want proper devolution, I want functions-resources to follow functions by the constitution; we want to see real growth in mashinani,” quipped the governor.

Ruto also dismissed allegations that he has amassed a lot of wealth since he became the governor.

Rumour had it that the CCM party boss acquired a new chopper and a multi-million home.

He said he is not a “billionaire or a millionaire”.
