Is ODM Party chaired by Raila Odinga preparing to exit NASA and prepare him for 2022 polls?

Well, NASA affiliate parties-Ford Kenya, Wiper and ANC have alleged such a plot could be in the making.

They say that ODM could be fueling a row within NASA affiliate parties over house leadership positions to get an exit route from NASA in readiness for 2022 elections.

There has been an incessant row between the four NASA affiliate parties which have accused ODM of exerting undue influence over House leadership positions at the expense of ANC, Wiper and Ford Kenya.

“We trusted Raila but ODM is using the tyranny of numbers to bring us (Affiliate parties) down,” ANC’s Ayuba Savula (Lugari) told the Star.

Further, a section of ODM MPs have also given signs indicating Raila could be on the ballot come 2022.

The MPs say that the possibility of Raila being on the ballot in 2022 was inspired by the absence of his co-principals-Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi from his unofficial inauguration as the ‘People’s President’ at Uhuru Park on January 30.

Raila has in the past steered clear of the debate if he will or not be in the race come 2022.

Kalonzo and Mudavadi have expressed interest in running for the top seat in 2022 against Jubilee’s William Ruto.

In Memorandum of Understanding signed between the NASA leaders in the run up to August 8 general polls, Raila was to vie for only one term under the coalition.

Should he vie, he has to ship out and vie on another platform which is not NASA.
