Isaac Ruto keeps off the media after losing, where’s he?

Outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has raised eyebrows after a no-show in the last three days.

Ruto has not been seen or heard since Tuesday when the country went to the polls.

He addressed the press at Chebaraa Primary School after casting his vote. He was optimistic of retaining his seat.

But he was trounced by former Sotik MP Dr. Joyce Laboso (Jubilee) who garnered 176, 545 votes against 86, 462 votes.

Ruto was vying on Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) ticket.

He cannot be reached either as he is not returning calls.

At his Chepalungu home, only minimal movement of county staff could be seen moving in an out of his residence.

A security guard manning the main entrance told the Star that his boss was in Nairobi.

The CCM boss and a NASA co-principal have not said a word since the results got out.

IEBC has since handed Dr. Laboso her certificate.

A close source to the Governor said he would issue a statement after meeting other NASA leaders in Nairobi.

In the run up to the polls, he had promised to deliver NASA 1.5 million votes from Rift Valley.
