Jicho pevu attacks Joho over Mombasa flooding, says he was busy importing Chris Brown

Nyali Parliamentary hopeful and former investigative Journalist with KTN Mohammed Ali has launched a scathing attack on Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.

In a long facebook post, Ali popularly known as ‘jicho pevu’ blamed the “sultan” for the tragedy that has befallen Mombasa County in the past few days’ flooding.

He claimed that Joho was solely responsible for the appalling situation in the coastal town as he did not pay much attention to his job.

Instead, he was busy “bashing UK (Uhuru Kenyatta), importing Rihannas and Chris Browns, taking his ODM caliphate gospel to Nairobi.”

And, he added: “He toured Philadelphia; taking selfies with ‘how’s you ma hommies’: type; basking in the limelight. Hogging prime time of media spaces. Declaring how MtuMkubwa he was. At this time, the city’s screams for help had become faint whispers; unheard. Even when the final death throes kicked in, no one bothered to check the pulse of the crumbling town.”

Ali went ahead to allege that Joho took over public office to satisfy his ego but not to serve the public. “Sad truth is our bearded neighbor took over the office to feed his publicity-hungry ego.”

Early this week, a wall caved in the outskirts of the city leaving six dead.

Scores of other houses have been submerged in water and property worth billions of shillings destroyed by the deluge that has turned Mombasa to a river.

In some of the estates, residents have been forced to use boats to move out, a situation blamed on poorly managed drainage systems under the purview of the county government.

He urged residents of Mombasa County to open their eyes and bring good governance come August 8.

“But the question on whether eyes will be opened and remain open long enough to make the right decision will be answered another day,” said Ali.

The former Journalist has been on a collision course with Joho. Their strained relationship began with Nyali ODM primaries where Ali was facing off with the governor’s cousin Said Abdalla.

Ali claimed that he was advertently rigged out by Joho in favor of his cousin Abdalla.
