Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has renewed political rivalry with Deputy President William Ruto.

On Friday, Joho accused Ruto of plotting closure of Kalonzo Muyoka Foundation.

“We know Kalonzo very well; he is as white as snow. That drama you are trying to drag him into will not work,” Joho said during ODM National Delegates Convention at Kasarani Stadium.

He said Ruto was using the NGO Board led by Mohammed Fazoul to attack the opposition.

Joho added that they will not allow Ruto to intimidate them through his underhand dealings geared towards attacking opposition leaders.

Early this week, the NGO Board released a circular suspending operation of the foundation on account that it has failed to account for sh146 million it has received from donors.

Further, the foundation was accused of filing false returns and operating an account not known by the board.

But Kalonzo, the patron of the foundation, fought back the allegations terming them political witch-hunt.

He pointed an accusing finger on Ruto stating he was the architect of his woes.

Ruto through his spokesperson David Mugonyi fought back telling Kalonzo to stop soiling his name and address issues raised by Fazoul’s board.
