The 14-year-old boy was highlighted by Jamhuri News two weeks ago, as he appealed to the public for help in travel fees from Kenya to Indianapolis, USA, where he needed to get his swimming paraplegic classification.
JackIsaac Mundia Ndale was able to travel to Indianapolis after wellwishers chipped in, and he has now qualified for the World Para-swimming Championship to be held in Mexico, at the end of the summer starting on September 30 to OCT 06, 2017.
Mundia will fly the Kenyan flag high, among swimmers from more than 60 other countries expected to compete at the Francisco Marquez Olympic Swimming Pool in Mexico.
Jack finished second in 100m Men’s Backstroke and third overall in his age category. His family is sending a message of gratitude to all those who helped him achieve his goal of representing his country in the global arena.
Everyone is optimistic that Jack will win the Championship given his long history of winning in Kenyan competitions. Jamhuri News will keep you posted.
When Jack was 2 years 5 months old, he got into an accident that left him with his right leg terribly injured, necessitating a below the knee amputation, but that has not hindered Jack from chasing his dream.
