Jubilee Party has presented a list of 15 names for it nominee the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) to Parliament.
Only five names will be picked from the list of 15.
Senate and Parliament Majority Leaders Kipchumba Murkomen and Aden Duale presented the list on Thursday.
Jubilee’s list has Former MPs Wanjiku Muhia (Nyandarua), Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East), Simon Mbugua (Kamukunji), Florence Sergon (Baringo), Irene Cherop (Elgeyo Marakwet), Elizabeth Wangui (Nyeri), Julie Njeri (Nyandarua), Joe Muriithi (Nyeri), Dorice Donya (Kisii).
Others are Eunice Wanjiru (Trans Nzoia) and former MPs Abdulaziz Ali, former National Assembly clerk Justin Bundi, former CIC boss Charles Nyachae, Bishop Jackson Kosgei from Baringo and Adan Mohamed from Mandera.
Duale said they have adhered to regional and gender balance.
“I wish to convey our final decision…we have five slots and are submitting fifteen members,” he said according to the Star.
National Assembly clerk Michael Sialai and his Jeremiah Nyengenye (Senate) received the list.
NASA on the other hand will get four slots.
The House is expected to vote for nine representatives to EALA on December 13.
