The Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association has protested the missing of one of their colleagues who was arrested by Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission detectives (EACC).
Malindi senior resident magistrate Corilus Osero Nyawiri was arrested by EACC detectives on Wednesday over an alleged corruption case.
Nyawiri was to be presented to the Milimani Anti-Corruption court yesterday but he never appeared.
His colleagues have since demanded to know his whereabouts.
“The purpose of this letter is to request your good office to confirm if indeed the Hon magistrate is being held by your officers, “a letter from Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association read in part as quoted by the Star.
“If this is the position, what action is expected to be taken against him?” KMJA secretary general Derrick Kuto asked in the letter addressed to EACC chief executive Harakhe Waqo.
