Wiper Party boss and NASA principal Kalonzo Musyoka has tried the waters once again after making an announcement seen to threaten the unity the coalition is enjoying.
Speaking recently in Mlolongo, Kalonzo said time is coming when he will have to tell Raila Odinga to choose who between him and Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama he wants to work with.
“There will come a time when I will ask Raila to choose whether to work with Muthama or Kalonzo,” said the Wiper Party leader.
The two have been embroiled in a row which escalated to Muthama shelving his political ambition for Machakos Senator and declared that he will only campaign for Raila and not Wiper.
His statement was interpreted to mean that he would not campaign for Kalonzo in Ukambani region where he supposedly enjoys unrivalled support.
Muthama has accused Kalonzo boss of killing democracy within Wiper Party.
His exit could harm the party since he is the Chief financier.
The row took a dip during party primaries where Muthama claimed Wiper’s nominations were a sham.
He protested the handing of direct nomination tickets to some candidates.
However, the row between them has been perceived to cause jitters in NASA and it is expected that Raila will cool off Muthama who is uncontrollably jibing Musyoka at every opportunity he gets.
