Kawangware has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases.
It accounted for 4 cases of the 11 reported in the country on Tuesday.
Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman said that Nairobi accounted for 7 cases while Mombasa recorded four cases all in Kibokoni area.
The 11 cases tested positive from a total of 589 samples. The total tally is now at 374. The patients are aged between 3 and 70.
The CAS stated that in light of the growing reports, “We therefore want to request residents of these areas to take extra measures to avoid contracting the virus.”
“It is important to note the trend of positive cases have been restricted to Nairobi and Mombasa. This indicative of increased local transmission in these two counties. The rest of the counties are advised to continue observing the containment measures,” added Dr Aman.
Ten more people were discharged bringing the total number of recovered patients to 124.
The CAS also said that all restaurants that plan to reopen must be approved by the ministry.
