Kenya Scoops Silver Medal in Canada’s Rugby Sevens Finals

Kenya’s never say die spirit saw Shujaa Injera scoring the first try of the match just half a minute into the match. This gave Kenya an early lead of Kenya 7:0 Fiji. A minute later, Fiji scored an equalizer bringing the scores to Kenya 7-7 Fiji.

Through Shujaa Oliech, Kenyan boys extended the lead one minute before halftime, but the joy was shortlived when Fiji boys equalized seconds later, bringing the scores to Kenya 12-12 Fiji just 17 seconds before the half-time.

Sensing danger, Fiji opened the second half in high spirit, extending the lead to Kenya 12: 19 Fiji just half a minute into the second half.

Fiji boys outraced Kenyans to score another try that brought the scores to Kenya 12: 26 Fiji

Just about two minutes to the end of the game, Fiji scored another try leading the Shujaa boys Kenya 12: Fiji 31.

Fiji won the finals 12: Fiji 31 with Kenya receiving the silver medal in Canada sevens 2018 cup.
