Kenyans are excited as one of their own Trina Njoroge makes a comeback to Love Island USA, a reality show shot in Hawaii.
Trina is a Kenyan-American among the 12-member cast for the show, spending the next eight weeks in Hawaii “searching for love”.
She announced a few weeks ago that she will be among 12 participants picked for a new season.
Her charisma spread quite first with her appearance in the show. Her complexion and demeanour won hearts.
The 24-year old was born in Nyeri and attended Mt Kenya Academy before they moved to Hacienda Heights in California, then Bakersfield in the same state.
She is a trained psychiatric nurse but doubles up as a mannequin and pageant queen whenever she is not attending to her patients.
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Trina held a Q&A session on her YouTube page, where she promised to do more in her area of expertise.
She plans to open several residential properties for those in need as a sign of gratitude because her job is rewarding.
The actress is glad that she changes lives everyday she goes to work at a state hospital.
In 2015, she won the Face of Kenya USA. In 2020, she won the coveted Miss Hacienda Heights USA.
She is a familiar figure in California, having competed for Miss California in January 2020.
Together with other like-minded partners, they founded a non-profit organization, Angels Forgotten, helping orphaned children in Nakuru, Kenya.
