By Jamhuri News Reporter

A Kenyan family in Atlanta is mourning the death of a loved one, 29-year old Mike Mulwa. The young man is said to have been shot Saturday night at a gas station he operated in the 9800 block of Parkway East in Birmingham.

According to Fox6 News, investigators are still investigating the matter, although they believe robbery may have been the motive.

“People should be able to go to work and return home without being the victim of a crime. Our investigators will work hard to bring this family answers and bring the killer to justice,” Sgt. Bryan Shelton said.

Mike underwent surgery at UAB Hospital and later died from his wound.

Mulwa is the founder of #254 clothing line and the proprietor of the #254 skill-wear fashion brand.

He has been living in Atlanta but works in Alabama.

Since he moved to the U.S in 2008, he worked at various department stores in Atlanta before moving to Shaw Industries.

He is survived by a widow, two kids and another unborn.

Anyone with details about the case is asked to call the police.
