A Kenyan woman living in the US has happily married her American lover.

The Kenyan woman, Manuella Mumbi popularly known as Munuella Royale exchanged vows with Lisa Webb Clay, her long time lover in a low key gay ceremony in the US.

According to Daily Nation, Mumbi hails from Kiambu County in Kenya.

She relocated to the US to live with her lover years back before solemnizing their relationship through a gay wedding which is legal in the US unlike in Kenya where it is abhorred by the society and illegalized by law.

The wedding is reportedly said to have been held last week on Saturday at the local county offices in Texas.

There was no witness except for the cleric who presided over the ceremony. They were later issued with a marriage certificate by the local county offices in Texas.

Mumbi took to her Facebook Page and wrote a sweet message to her lover soon after the wedding.

“Unto us a day was given. Been a journey of love. Yes I do love you now and forever,” she wrote.

A licensed or ordained Christian ministers or priests, Jewish rabbis, and an officer of a religious organization are allowed by the Texas law to officiate a wedding ceremony.
