Political analyst Prof Mutahi Mutahi Ngunyi has received backlash from Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) following a scathing tweet on Supreme Court Judges.

On Tuesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta made his first address to the National Assembly and the Senate.

But unlike in the past, Supreme Court Judges were missing from the maiden event as well as NASA MPs and Senators who boycotted the event.

And Ngunyi went ahead to ask if the Supreme Court Judges led by Chief Justice David Maraga had conspired with NASA to boycott the event.

“@Mutahi Ngunyi Judiciary and NASA Boycott Parliament. Are they co-conspirators?” read the tweet.

Angered by the tweet, his followers hit out at him.

“And mr “know it all”, do you think it is ok for Uhuru to call the Judiciary thugs? He is yet to apologise.

Why should they attend then?” reacted Dennis Gwaro to the Star according.

Another one, Eric Mugita noted: “Not everything is a conspiracy…or we can also say there is a conspiracy between the president and Jubilee MPs to open parliament.”

The President has not been in good terms with the Supreme Court after nullification of August 8 polls.

In a tirade, Uhuru referred to the Judges as “Wakora” (thugs), a statement that elicited a lot of backlash.

He also said that if re-elected, he will “fix” the Judges.

However, some users defended the analyst saying it was crucial for the Supreme Court Judges to attend the session.

“Uhuru and Jubilee were not found guilty of any election illegality. But were the only winners. UhuRuto is being punished unfairly,” Kanja Thuku said.

“No matter how they collude, if they are, they will not be able to annul second round results if Raila loses. And lose, he will!! Big time.”
