Kenyans visiting South Africa will now get a Visa on arrival in newly revised immigration policy by the South African government.

South Africa’s Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom said Kenyan will have to apply for an E-Visa which will be issued upon arrival.

This move is geared towards boosting the tourism sector in South Africa according to Nairobi News

In the past, Kenyans seeking to travel to South Africa decried stringent visa requirements which saw President Uhuru Kenyatta and former President Jacob Zuma hold a series of meeting to chart the way forward on the issue.

Kenyans seeking work permits in South Africa had a hard time forcing many to move back to Kenya.

However, in the revised immigration policy, Kenyan students seeking to travel to South Africa for studies can now obtain their Visas with ease.
