COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 72,686 after 957 more cases were confirmed on Wednesday.
This was from a sample size of 5,559 bringing the total number of samples tested so far to 804,894.
Of the positive cases, 908 are Kenyans and 49 are foreigners.
Out of the cases, 569 are male and 388 are female, while the youngest case is a two-month-old infant and the oldest is aged 94 years.
Some 2,616 patients recovered from the virus bringing the total recoveries to 49,878.
Out of the recoveries, 2,434 were discharged from home-based care programme and 182 from hospitals around the country bringing the total number of recoveries to 49,878.
Sadly, 11 patients succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of deaths to 1,313.
In his statement, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe stated that 1,191 patients are admitted in various hospitals while 6,000 are on home-based isolation and care.
58 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 37 of whom are on ventilator support, and 26 on supplemental oxygen.
Another 89 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen out of whom 72 are in the general wards, while 17 are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
At least 2,369 health workers have contracted COVID-19.
