Her engineering career saw her work with Kenya’s telecommunication giant Safaricom before moving to Incotech which is based in England.

She was the first person to be diagnosed with COVID-19 in March 2020. She had flown from the US via London.

She developed breathing complication after her return to Kenya and was rushed to hospital where she tested positive for COVID-19.

After recovering, she made a public appearance in the company of Brian Orinda who got the virus from her.

The duo appeared alongside Health CS Mutahi Kagwe and later held a video call with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

What followed was backlash by Kenyans who accused her of faking her COVID-19 status and allowing to be used as “government projects to push an agenda.”
