A Kirinyaga Court has jailed a pastor who impregnated his two minor daughters to 140 years in prison.
The accused, a pastor in Ndia Constituency pleaded guilty to defiling his daughters who aged 14 and 16.
On Thursday, Baricho Magistrate’s Court presided over by Senior Principal Magistrate Anthony Mwicigi handed the accused 70 years in prison for each of the girls he defiled.
The 51-year-old suspect will now serve 140 years in jail.
In his plea to the court, he blamed “the devil” saying that he is a man of God.
He sought for forgiveness from his family and children.
Mwicigi said that the accused had owned up to his faults, therefore, the judgment was deserving.
The pastor allegedly committed the distasteful act two years ago.
According to the charge sheet, he committed the defilement on diverse dates between June 1 and June 30 2019.
He later repeated the same offence between August 1 and August 30 at his Kinyakiiru village.
He then fled and hid in Mbeere South, Embu for more than a year before police smoked him out in December 2020.
His two daughters have since delivered. One of the babies is seven months old while the second one is five months old.
