The National Super Alliance (NASA) has turned the heat on seven Cabinet Secretaries, a principal secretary, KRA commissioner general.

On Thursday, the coalition wrote to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Keriako Tobiko seeking to have charges instituted against Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Mwangi Kiunjuri (Devolution).

Others are Water and Irrigation CS Eugene Wamalwa, James Macharia (Transport), Najib Balala (Tourism), Cleopa Mailu (Health) and Joseph Nkaissery (Interior).

KRA Commissioner General John Njiraini and Energy PS Joseph Njoroge were also marked by NASA leadership.

NASA says the CS’, PS and KRA boss have been campaigning for Jubilee using state resources.

NASA move follows that of KNCHR and the Law Society of Kenya who earlier on had written to Public Service Commission seeking to have the civil servants investigated.

In a letter addressed to Margaret Kobia by LSK President Isaac Okero, he cited that it was paramount for action to be taken against any civil servant campaigning using state resources.

“As one would expect, this report is causing great public consternation as it describes actions that amount to misconduct on the part of the two officials by their breach of constitutional values and principles of public service and their violation of statutory requirements for political neutrality imposed on state and public officers of their rank and position,” read the letter in part.
