Police have successfully traced and arrested a 31-year-old male who made a post on Facebook declaring mass shooting during NASA’s anti-IEBC protests.

The man posted a photo of himself posing with an AK 47 and captioned it with a message vowing to “take down as many people as possible” during the demonstrations.

The suspect, Mr.  David Ochieng Omondi was arrested in Githurai, Nairobi.

The arrest was confirmed by the National Police Service Spokesperson George Kinoti, who asked Kenyans to avoid posting hate or inflammatory statements on social media. He said that his administration will work to ensure that anyone who makes such statements face the law.
