Gift Mumbi Kamau, a third-year student at the Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri, has been missing since Thursday, March 30, 2017. She is the daughter of Sammy and Catherine Kamau of Florissant, Missouri.
On Tuesday, the Gofundme page that has been fundraising towards her search posted an update as quoted below.
”Sadly, Gift has been found – she was recovered from the Mississippi River and her family have just been notified. Our hearts are so heavy as we continue to stand by her family while they go through this difficulty of planning a funeral for their beloved daughter. Please continue to show your support morally and financially. Let’s help her parents lay her to rest. Thank you.”
According to Fox2now, ”The St. Louis Medical Examiner’s Office was only able to identity Kamau via dental records. Madison Police Chief Burns said investigators believe Kamau committed suicide, adding that a suicide note had been found.”
