Move to Somalia if discontented with Uhuru’s win, government tells Ndii after secession call

The government has responded to NASA Chief Strategist Dr. David Ndii’s secession call and told him to relocate to Somalia if he is bothered by Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory on August 8 polls.

Government through its Spokesman Eric Kiraithe told off Ndii over his secession call that has attracted huge criticism on social platforms.

Kiraithe said the secession call is misplaced.

“If every time the candidate you support loses the election there is a secession, to provide him with the Presidency through a section that supported him, what would happen to democracies like the US, UK and Kenya after these leaders are no longer viable? Is it that they will secede again?” asked Kiraithe at KICC on Thursday as the Star quotes.

He added: “Countries and nations are not about individual leaders. Political opinions are political opinions. For the people expressing that political opinion, it must be good for them but you cannot tell what is good for them in that opinion. So you leave them and they are entitled to that.”

Kiraithe added they have no problem with those expressing themselves. “As far as entitlements to your ideas are concerned, you can even decide to migrate and go to Somalia.”

Ndii said NASA’s victory was titled to favor Jubilee. He added that if change does not come to Kenya through the ballot; it will come by the bullet.

The NASA head strategist said they will call for mass action.

However, Kiraithe said security apparatus are closely watching the goings on and they will not hesitate to do their work should Ndii and his team threaten Kenya’s security.

“They have their opinions but where they threaten security, security forces will be watching,” remarked the Government Spokesman.
