The National Super Alliance has suspended its demonstrations against the IEBC until Mashujaa day celebrations when it will give further instructions on the way forward.

NASA leader Raila Odinga said the decision has been arrived at after their supporters were maimed while the others were killed.

In a statement, Raila said police are responsible for the killings.

He said the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnett and Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matinag’i “facilitated security officers to execute a murderous expedition against unarmed and innocent civilians,” quotes Daily Nation.

Further, stated the NASA boss: “In honour of the innocent victims of the State, our protests will stay suspended. On Friday, we will mark the memory of these victims as heroes of the struggle for electoral justice at a venue to be disclosed later. On that day, we shall communicate our next course of action.”

Raila said police should put an end to brutality.

“The government must stop this alliance between thugs and security officers and the unconstitutional and reckless deployment of troops to annihilate NASA supporters.”
